I have to say, this apron which has just been added to my Etsy store, has me thinking about the good ol' days! I've noticed that many vintage apron patterns from the 30's, 40's, and 50's all have a strong design element while still remaining functional for the wearer. The best place to see this is in old movies. The aprons usually match a character or theme that is being portrayed. I think that is what I was attempting here. That combination of vintage and retro-design, a sort of take me back to another time feel, but still grounded in today.

A Little Nostalgia, please...

Hi I am stopping by from SITS.
OH, HOW I LOVE APRONS. I love aprons so much, that I actually had to stop collecting them about 10 years ago. It is so hard to display them. And the vintage fabrics can be so delicate.
I love the retro chic ones that you have, with the thinner upper and the two in one. and well... the list goes, on I really like them all. The fabric choices are nice too. I recently saw some similar fabric that you might like. Anna Maria? Oh gosh, now i wish i'd paid more attention.
Never the less, I am grateful that someone has been making aprons. I have so many from my grandmothers. and even great grandmothers.
One of my favorites is a see through fabric with a delicate hankie as a pocket. it is amazing. And a great idea for you to think about. Now all those old hankies can come in handy.
