Meet the Flirty Chic Apron

When you haven't heard from me in a while, you can pretty much guess that I've either been sewing up a storm or hob-nobbing with the swells here in Texas.  Well, it's been a little bit of both!  Actually, my husband ran into Rick Perry (that's right, the govenor of Texas!) at a store on Saturday and today, I was chatting it up with the President of Bernina USA.  It's been an exciting week for us.

Meanwhile, back in my quaint little studio, I've been workin' hard on a new apron style for my Etsy store.  I wanted to create something simple that really focused on the fabric.  I think I've finally come up with a style that does just that.  I'm call her Flirty Chic.

And, it is a good thing, too.  Today I was able to pre-order some of Amy Butler's newest line of fabric called Soul.  Since seeing her fabric at market, I have been trying to create a pattern that would show off these wonderful fabrics.

I would love your feedback on which fabrics you love from this line.

I love the simplicity and the emphasis on shape. I also loooooove the color combo of turquoise and red together with a little white. Perfect.
