Today, I received these pictures from Amy on her take of the
Retro Chic Apron Pattern. Now why didn't I ever think to use piping? It just gives this apron a very classic feel. Also, notice how Amy uses bias that she made from the yoke and collar fabric. I've done this a few times...it wasn't my favorite thing. As a mater of fact, I think my cuss words are still hanging in the air somewhere over Central Texas.
In this picture, notice how the pocket fabric is turned in a new direction. One thing to note about the
Retro Chic Apron Pattern: the fabric layout leaves you with a bit of leftover fabric. I applaud Amy for her creativity in using this piece of fabric for a matching kitchen towel. Best of all, Amy made this adorable apron as a gift for her Mom's birthday!
Bravo, Amy!
UPDATE: The
Mystery Pattern is soon to be revealed. I've been waiting for my
daughter editor to finish the revisions. She had sent the revised pattern in a bag with a tablecloth which I efficiently returned when I had finished using it. There are always overlaps when you blend family and business!

Pretty piping! I'm on pins and needles waiting to see your Mystery pattern. Is it a men's apron? or a backpack?
