I'm doing laundry. Not my laundry. My daughter Kitty's laundry. Her washer is in ICU right now and not expected to recover.
Did I mention one of kids woke up vomiting on the day of the washer's death?
A secondary leak was found when the leaking washer was moved out. Plumbers are now at her house.
I'm currently washing load number two - which takes forever on the 'Sanitary' setting - see above for explanation.
So, no Mother's Day Tutorial today; however, the garden is coming along nicely.
We pulled the last of the root veggies. Did you know that letting a toddler pull a carrot out of the ground will cause him to want to immediately eat it? Kids crunching on carrots - priceless.
I also made a very nice beet kvass with these beauties. I'll explain what a beet kvass is someday.
I'm getting large numbers of onions out of the ground, daily. They are either drying on my back porch swing or sitting in a basket on the kitchen counter. There are probably ten times this amount still waiting to be pulled. Yikes! What was I thinking...onions with everything!
I plucked my first tomato of the season. It's a Roma paste tomato. I always pick tomatoes before they fully ripen and let them finish inside. Otherwise, insects (like those vicious stink bugs) will ruin them.
There goes the dryer...I'm off to start another load. Did I mention that Kitty uses cloth diapers?
