And, I can cancel any plans {and I had big plans, let me tell you} of redoing my kitchen.
I am stuck, stuck, stuck with my orangey oak cabinets and my too-shallow sink for the time being.
And all because of this guy.
And his evil little friend who lived in the attic.
On Monday, Mr. Seasoned Homemaker said, “Leslie, does the air conditioner sound kind of loud to you.” I, of course, never notice these manly-man type things.
However, I had been taking pictures next to the window by the air conditioner and did notice.
Tuesday, I had the A/C man who does most of the work in my neighborhood come by to assure me that my A/C was fine and only needed an “atta boy” to keep running until the end of time.
No such luck, Mr. A/C Man walked around the corner and said, “It’s your compressor and the coils are probably shot, too.”
All he had to do was hear it, and he knew the problem. It seems that everyone in my neighborhood has the same A/C unit and they’ve all had the same problem.
With Austin temps hovering around 100-degrees, we chose to replace at our convenience, rather than wait for the inevitable to occur.
And, since this is the only way I will camp out while waiting for an A/C repairman, it seemed like a better value.
Here are the pictures of my summer vacation and kitchen remodel.
It is, after all, about priorities.
Now, I am going to head into the kitchen to make some deviled eggs, which are perfect on a hot summer day.
