Scraplique

A new word

Scraplique

A free printable is here.

How to Scraplique

Take a pile of scraps and randomly piece them together.

Using the applique methods I taught in this tutorial, apply fusible web and cut out letters or a design.

Adhere to fabric of choice.

Stitch down with a zigzag stitch.

And, Voila!

A one-of-a-kind gift.

Check here and here for pillow-making techniques.

Very clever! I use scraps all the time for applique but never thought to sew them together like that first! Super cute idea!
