Here in (mostly) sunny Austin, TX the winter weather in pretty decent. However, we've had a bit of a cold snap followed by some fog and rain which makes it gray and gloomy. So, to brighten my day, I decided to make a new apron that winks at weather and then challenges it to cheer up! Actually, I've been wanting to add a halter style to my apron repertoire'. After a bit of head scratching and an overwhelming desire to curse, I did manage to pull off something wearable. I'm really pleased with the way it looks, but I can see this style evolving as I make it over and over. One possible change would be to make it have a circle-cut skirt. Wouldn't that be really cute? Maybe add some rickrack where the halter criss-crosses. Endless possiblilities for another day!

That is adorable, and guaranteed to brighten a gloomy day! It makes me think of Mary Poppins - the umbrellas and the way it brightens the gloom.

Really cute! Makes it look very svelte and sexy.
I think that's the sexiest looking apron I've ever seen! My hubby would love me in that.

I love it, the cut is perfect. I'd wear that even if I wasn't baking/cooking :)
