The other day I was driving up Capital of Texas Highway on my way to bring dinner to some friends who live in Westlake. All along the hillsides and center lanes was the most beautiful display of Bluebonnets (the state flower of Texas) I have seen in many years. It was magnificent and anyone would have marveled at the spectacle. Well, I have to tell you, I got a little choked up.
It brought to mind the words of Sir Walter Scott who actually said it better than I ever could, "Breathes there the man, with soul so dead, Who never to himself hath said,"This is my own, my native land!"
When I got home later that day, I made this little apron as a reminder of how beautiful simplicity can be...

adorable apron!!! I wish I had that cute of fabric in my fabric stash!
hi my name is Kristina and I was looking for fabrics to make a quilt to reflect my love of bluebonnets and found your blog. My question is do you remember the maker of the fabric you used in this adorable apron?
