Ideas and other stuff

The best, best, best part about making patterns is seeing what you come up with when you add your own style to one of my patterns.

Marianne from TX made these Tutu Tote Bags for two of her granddaughters!  The embroidery was done locally - for those of you who don't have a sewing/embroidery machine.

Keep those fresh ideas and pictures coming.  I am always thrilled to see what others have to share!

Now for something completely different....Did you ever have one of those special Christmas dresses?

I'm sure I had a half dozen or so!  Red corduroy, red velvetten, green and red tartan...too many to mention.

Well, not much has changed....at church today all the little girls were in their Christmas dresses, as expected.

Some had red corduroy jumpers with monograms on the yokes, others in classic smocked dresses with candy canes and the like...

...except one girl who insisted on marching to the beat of her own drum...

A sparkly fuchsia stretch velvet dress complete with white faux fur trim on the hem and wrists AND silver sparkly cowgirl boots!

How refreshing is that!

I am completely inspired by this little girl's willingness to go with what she loves and not with what everyone else expects.

Expect to see this attitude expressed in my work in the new year....until then...

Merry Christmas,
