Last Night We Were Driving...

Last night my hubby and I were driving to dinner when he noticed that the car door had a rattle.  Not unusual for a car that is now seven model years old.  He actually wanted me to take the car in and have this fixed when, thank yew very much, I reminded him that the car represents memories of the last few years and I wanted to keep my door rattle to remind me of my experiences since buying the car.  Here's a few...

1. Married off two daughters.
2.  Moved three times in one year...that's right!  THREE TIMES!  And, the last move was to a new city, leaving behind 28 years of friends and memories.
3.  Became a grandmother two times - something I highly recommend to all women!
4.  Discovered Etsy and started Sugar Pie Chic.
5.  Bought a nice new sewing machine.
6.  Realized I had under-bought a sewing machine and bought three more to make sure this doesn't happen again.
7.  Had to learn so many new things my brain still aches:  How to embroider on new electronic sewing machine, how to navigate software for the embroidery machine, how to take pictures with a digital dslr camera (I'm still trying to figure this out), how to embroider on a different machine, how to navigate a more complex embroidery software, Photoshop.
8.  Made new friends, forged new relationships...

You can clearly see why I wouldn't want to trade my rattling car door for some sleek new car smell!

Sweet Leslie, definitely KEEP the rattle!

I love hearing the milestones you have made the past couple of years. It was a good encouragement to do the same for myself.

I look forward to more beautiful creations from you in 2011!

I love to follow!
Merry Christmas
