It astonishes me that the tiny little seed inside of a tomato becomes something so wonderful. When I walk into my kitchen it smells like sunshine! How is this possible? I sprout seeds in January and February, put the plants in the ground in March and by May that little bitty seed has taken water and sunshine and converted them into the most delicious thing.
With the world possibly ending tomorrow, I have to admit it saddens me to think that I won't be here to bring in the rest of my harvest.
