Miz Scarlet Done Birthed Another One

Friends, meet the Simply Chic Learn to Sew Apron Pattern.  For many of you waiting patiently for me to create a pattern for the Flirty Chic Apron and the Sweetheart Chic Apron, I apologize.   I have already begun drafts for these patterns and I suspect they will be showing up sooner or later (probably later, but there is always room for hope).

For two years I have been wanting to make a pattern that would also teach someone the basics of sewing.  Since I have been teaching two sweet 14 year old girls how to sew this summer, I have become acutely aware of the need for simple patterns that have better explanations.

If you are a sewing novice then this is the perfect apron pattern for you to Learn to Sew. I've included detailed instructions and tons of pictures that will guide you step by step in creating your own Simply Chic Apron. This pattern will help you learn some sewing basics like gathering, making darts and attaching rickrack. In addition, there is a short tutorial on How to Applique.   Imagine the unlimited possibilities for creating unique and individual aprons for family and friends.

Included in this pattern are simple directions for size scaling up or down. The pattern also contains easy modifications for three alternate views, including a half apron. That is like getting 4 patterns in 1.

For all of my International customers, I am happy to report that this pattern now includes Metric measurements.

I'm eagerly waiting to see how many different ways you can create with this pattern!
