Quilt Market

Right now, I am in Houston for the Quilt Market!  I've been attending for a few years now and gather ideas and inspiration that I, naturally, pass on to you!

Recently, I saw a display for the Babyville Boutique in my local Joanns.  Since my daughter uses cloth diapers, I was curious.  Anyhoo, I spent some time chatting it up with these folks.  I think I will do a tutorial for some of these...baby gift ideas forthcoming!

I also bumped into Lotta Jansdotter, one of my FAVORITE designers.  We had the sweetest chat and I was able to personally thank her for the influence she has had on my home and personal style.  She noticed that I was from Austin, and told me she had just been to the Broken Spoke a few nights before!  How fun is that!

At Quilt Market, you can hardly stand, let alone walk.  After about four hours it was time for a break so we hoofed it over to the concessions for a little R and R.  It was really nice to sit for a few and Patty Young was gracious enough to share her table with us.  She lives in the same town as my sister so we had a common interest.  And, her new line of fabrics, LUSH, is just adorable...

So, that's all for now from Quilt Market.  My camera batteries died about 10 seconds after I got there, so my buying partner came to the rescue with her camera and has all of our pictures.  I will edit and post when I get them.   More from Houston in a few.

Your humble sewing correspondent signing off for now....
