It is so blasted hot here in the summer I almost can't stand it. I was recently at a sewing club meeting where we get to do a little Show and Tell...seems like I wasn't the only one who was dodging the heat by staying indoors.
Plus, sewing is a great excuse to avoid outdoor chores...such as weeding the garden or (gasp!) mowing the lawn. An example would be my husband mentioning to me that the potted plants looked
If you appear to be up to your eyeballs in a sewing project you have an excuse, "Sorry, Honey, I can't stop right now; maybe later." I believe this technique would also work quite well in a snowy, winter climate when one is asked to shovel the driveway.
I also need to mention that housework is far too strenuous to do during this dreadful heat. One could keel over from heat stroke, you know.
So, while the heat continues, you find me joined at the needle to my trusty Bernina!
